Welcome XXXXXXX delegates.

Lorne is a spectacular destination for adventure activities. The Southern Ocean is a great place to paddle a kayak or surf on a board. The Otway Ranges are filled with waterfalls and huge Mountain Ash trees. Explore this scenic area on horse, mountain bike or on foot. The following activities are available for conference delegates. Surfing
Duration 2 hours
Fitness level: Medium
Transfer time: 0-20 minutes depending on surf conditions

Find out why surfing is the new golf with a two hour beginners surfing lesson. Our Surfing Victoria qualified guides will have you standing in no time at all, but please be warned, surfing is very addictive. Venue will be determined on the day depending on surf conditions. Please note that full length wetsuits and soft learner’s boards are provided.

Mountain Biking
Durations 2 hours
Fitness level: Medium
Transfer time 45 minutes.
People: 15 min, 48 max.

The mountain village of Forrest, inland from Lorne, has Victoria’s finest mountain bike precinct. Guests can pick from a series of single track trails that are graded easy, medium, or difficult. Take it as easy as you want, or go hard if you’re keen. Our mountain bikes have front suspension and come in a range of sizes.

What to bring: bike or running shoes, bike pants and gloves (optional)

Sea Kayak with the seals
Duration: 2 hours
Fitness level: Medium
Transfer time: 45 minutes
People: min 8, max 24

Start the day with a spectacular drive down the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay. Guests meet their kayak guides in a sheltered cove before paddling 500 meters offshore to a seal colony. The seals seam to delight in swimming around the kayaks and putting on a show for the humans. While out at the colony, guides will give a brief explanation of seal life. Guests then paddle back to the beach for a wave riding session in their double kayaks.

Guided walk.
Duration: 2 hours

Transfer time: 5 minutes.

The walk starts just five minutes drive from Lorne at the spectacular Erskine Falls. After marveling at the beauty of the falls from the top lookout, guests will descend into the valley and follow the Erskine River back to Lorne. Our highly knowledgeable guide will explain forest ecology as delegates pass under huge mountain ash trees and explore complex sub tropical rainforests. Straw Falls and the Lorne’s old nature chapel are highlights of this walk.

What to bring: Hat and sensible sturdy shoes.

Horse Riding
Duration: 2.5 hours
Fitness level: low +
Transfer time: 20 minutes.
People: min 10, max 22.

After being matched with a suitable horse, the ride starts with a gentle trot though the Airey’s Inlet heathland. Rider’s get to enjoy spectacular views of the lighthouse and river valley, while gaining confidence in the saddle.
The highlight of this ride is galloping through the shallows along the Great Ocean Road’s longest beach. After the thrilling beach section it’s back into the bush for a final ride back to the stables.

What to bring: Long pants.

Wine Tour
Duration 3.5 hours
Fitness levels: low
People min 10 max 53.

Find out why the Surf Coast wineries are turning heads at national and international wine shows. This relatively young wine regions has a fantastic combination of good soils and a cool maritime climate, ensuring a great range of Shiraz, Pinot, Cab Savs, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir varieties.
This tour includes a visit to three family-owned boutique wineries where the winemakers take great pride showcasing their product to visitors.
